The fan base as a whole wasn't calling for him to be fired but they were upset with him. Also the fan base doesn't think he's the greatest, by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't think he's the best by any stretch of the imagination but I also don't think he's as bad as other people say he is.. I think he's slightly above average imo
