Montana... Honest question.
If McElwain sat in your living room with another CFB coach. Which one would impress you more? I'm thinking he wouldn't impress me much at all. I'd have him in the bottom tier of coaches in the SEC and way behind guys like UM, Harbaugh, Jimbo, Dabo, Stoops, Petrino, Richt, Strong, etc. This guy is losing at recruitment because who the hell wants to follow him? He looks like Gomer Pyle and can't even smile without blinding you in yellow butter.

GFY Lyfe just want to put it in simple terms that even a dumbass like you can understand...if we had beaten UT you would still be under your rock.

I mean he is a bit "aw shucks" but so was Bowden and he recruited like a mother until he got old. Bobby might have had rings by then though.
I want to say that I think he's better coach than Boom but I'm worried I might be blinded by my bias towards offense- on the whole would it shock anyone if after 2 seasons they have essentially the same record? (They won't after 3--I can see 5 or maybe even 6 losses post bowl in 2017 but not 8 that's just not happening again barring similar injuries)
I worry a hell of a lot about the defense which has always seemed more player dependent than the offense (average talent on offense can be schemed around, certainly not by Boom or Nuss and probably not Mac but by an innovative offensive coach)

Richt and Strong don't even belong in that group you listed, that is hilarious.
The guy went 10-2 last year in the reg season. Let's let him finish year 2 before throwing him to the wolves. Just because YOU don't like him, doesn't mean he isn't advanced in x's and o's and isn't a good HC.
