There was a lot to what was going on the second half. While I'm trying to dig myself out from under my mountain of grading, I listen to WRUF a lot. No one apparently wants to throw anyone under the bus, but I'm hearing more and more of the sportscasters and journos over there saying the a lot of the plays you saw were not as they were called. Appleby did have one or two brain farts on audibles he called, there were issues with blocking even among the TEs and RBs at times, and the offensive line was apparently also getting assignments completely wrong.

That's not excusing the coaching or indicting it. I'm only saying that I don't think the plan was run, run, pass on third and 8 even though that's what happened.
