Coach Mac is a Damn good coach and knew he would do well. He was way under rated and glad to see him doing well. Nuss too.

Currently Maryland has as many of the top 25 players in the state of Florida as we do committed.
With Mac its not a fight between us and FSU or even us and Miami- its a fight between to see if Florida is better than out of state schools in its own state, that's how horrible a recruiter Mac is- FSU is first choice, then Ohio State, then Miami, then Florida/Bama/Clemson all fight it out- with Florida usually taking the lower profile recruits and missing on the blue chippers. This isn't an exaggeration, look at the 247 composite Top 50 in the state of Florida from 2016- Mac's "bump year" usually a coaches best class until he wins a conference or national title:
FSU signed: #4, #8, #11, #19, #24, #30, #34
Miami signed: #13, #18, #23, #27, #28, #33, #36, #37, #39, #43
Clemson: #10, #12, #31
Ohio State:#2,#17, #25, #41
Ole Miss: #1, #29,#47
Florida signed the #6, #9, #22, #26
All but 48-50 were at least 4 star players.
So basically we signed the 4th best class of players from the state of Florida!
In Mac's bump year we had the 12th best class nationally- behind 6 teams either in the SEC or on our annual schedule or both.
