It wasn't SMU who thumbed their nose it was Logan Sherwood who thumbed his nose at SMU. They told him to scale back.

The people who got paid were not the Dickerson group it was the Dupard group. To say it was just SMU thumbing their nose also is incorrect, it was the whole conference. Also around that time USC and UCLA got hit for same thing and nothing happened tv ban.

Yoeman had a drawer in his desk with cash that players came and got. The school sanctioned that after they were hit a decade earlier for same type thing.
