So much misinformation in your post.

They were just keeping up with the Jones'. DMN and DST killed the Ponies. A media war is the worst thing for any program.

OP you knew UK was shut down in the 50's under Rupp and ULL was shut down in 70's?

Coog High had 250 major violations in 88/89 but because of the damage the NCAA didn't do anything.
