I guess the Sugar Bowl will be acceptable this year.

I was actually just coming to ask. Do you think it is acceptable because of preseason expectations to not win the SEC/get to the playoffs, or is it bc it would be a trending upward kind of thing? Just curious. Fellow LSU fans would not see it as acceptable for this season bc of preseason expectations but I think thats a great season.

I would say if we get to the Sugar Bowl, that would be acceptable because not only are we outperforming expectations but it's also the best we've done in a while and the trending upward thing. All the reasons you said. Big emphasis on breaking free of the <9 regular season wins streak we have going.

Les Miles would not get fired, nor should he, if LSU were to play in the Sugar Bowl. That would basically require finishing the season, at worst, 10-2

I was being sarcastic. Most expected around 8 wins this year. If we make the sugarbowl then I would be pumped.
