Congratulations and all, but Bama wasn't that good before that game and was pretty much the same after. The only program killing at Alabama was done by a fax machine receiving Mike Dubose support messages.

While not exactly a program killer, our 6-3 upset loss to Miss State in 1980 broke our stranglehold on the SEC. In the prior 9 years, we won 8 outright SEC championships...in the next decade or so, we shared 2...
