If we stop that drive and win that game, we go on to win the West, probably beat Florida in a rematch in the SECCG, likely beat Notre Dame in the BCSNCG and then all is well and 21-0 is forgotten.

21-0 wasn't the death of LSU football under Les Miles. 21-17 was.




I don't disagree with this at all, except you guys would have played Georgia in the SECCG, no?

Yeah it would have been UGA. Would have been no telling who would have won that game. Bama-UGA-LSU were all pretty equal.

Yes, I forgot that UGa beat UF that year. Edited my post. Still, the same point applies, although beating UGa in the SECCG would certainly not have been a given.
