This is a bit misleading. Check the stats on Gus' non-DT QB's (The 2 at arkie, Todd, KF, Clint, Trotter, JJ and SW) against SEC level competition. It isn't pretty. Gus' biggest failure is admitting his systems needs a DT to be successful at a high level.
