The average onside kick recovery % is about 8-10%.

I swear it's about 30% against us.

Under Saban we've given up about 5 successful onside kicks.

We gave up an onsides against UGA late in 08, against Tennessee in 09, gave up another one or two I'm forgetting over the last few years, and then gave up one today.

It has to be our scheme, it's awful. Even the ones we actually recover aren't clean and are close. They either go out of bounds or bounce around crazy for awhile. It's maddening as shite.

The lucky thing is none of these onside kick recoveries have cost us the game yet, but some of them easily could have. We really need to work on it more.

It doesn't come up much, but when it does the game is usually on the line.

That was a wicked bounce. I really don't know if it could have been prevented. Thought it was interesting they didn't press their luck and try 2 in a row.
