In 2014 , Brandon Harris made a comeback against State and led LSU fans believe he was the " Messiah ". Fast Forward to 2016, Etling came in against a FCS powerhouse and went 6 for 14 with 100 yds, 1td, 1int. They call him " Savior ". Mississippi State is to Etling as Auburn is to Harris. See the trend?

You must have been trying to respond to someone else and made a mistake. I'm not saying any of that and was really clear.

Do you just have like one response only?

He had two touchdowns.

This biggest thing I saw with Etling is that he actually communicates with the guys around him and scans the field while dropped back for a pass. He actually works the pocket instead of taking 10 step drops and rolling out.

Most of his incomplete passes were drops or timing routes that will come with time working with the starters.

Here is a play that didn't show up in the stat book because of a penalty:

I really liked what he did in the throw to Jeter that got called back. Moves out of the pocket, tucks the ball as he runs to avoid the rush, and then pulls up and throws a dart to Jeter. Jeter is a tight end. Brandon Harris doesn't know that the tight end is pass eligable.

BIG difference in making first career start away on the plains as opposed to starting in the friendly surroundings of tiger stadium.

Harris was going into his first start as a true freshman against a tough SEC west opponent at their stadium.

Etling is a RS Junior playing at home against a bottom feeder. I think he'll manage.
