TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — After taking Monday off, Alabama returned to the practice field on Tuesday to begin preparing for Chattanooga.

The Crimson Tide (10-0, 7-0 SEC) hosts Chattanooga on Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2.

What we saw

-Running back Bo Scarbrough (knee) showed no signs of being limited. Scarbrough participated in both individual and group drills during the viewing period of practice. Scarbrough is still wearing a brace on his right knee. He missed the Mississippi State game, but Alabama coach Nick Saban said that was because the team didn’t want to rush him back.

-Linebacker Reuben Foster is still wearing the protective club on his left hand. Foster said after the Mississippi State game that he had a “chipped” bone in his hand, but that it shouldn’t affect his play on the field. Foster went through drills with the team.

-Senior Korren Kirven continued to work at right guard with the first-team offensive line. Kirven made his first career start at right guard on Saturday vs. Mississippi State. He and Josh Casher rotated at the position throughout the game.

-The rest of the first-team offensive line had Cam Robinson at left tackle, Ross Pierschbacher at left guard, Bradley Bozeman at center and Jonah Williams at right tackle.

-Lester Cotton, who had been starting at right guard, worked at right tackle with the second-team offensive line. Cotton played mostly on the field goal unit and as a backup vs. Mississippi State.

-Along with Cotton, the rest of the second-team offensive line had Casher at right guard, J.C. Hassenauer at center, Dallas Warmack at left guard and Matt Womack at left tackle.

-Scouts from the New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants watched practice.
