Good game last night 10rc

Seriously this could be a perfect ego check for your team. I fully expected you to lose to Va Tech, but now I think you win. Just need to get back to basics.
Tennessee hasn't been this hyped in a long time, and it has a terrible affect hearing how good you are all the time. It makes you complacent.
This game started with one of your best payers muffing a punt which gave them a shot in the arm and they took advantage of it and converted. AppState was sky high at the time and that energy couldn't last a whole game. The O-line will be fine, it is hard as hell to block small quick defensive linemen. And before you ask why everyone doesn't have small, quick DL, it's because they wouldn't last a whole season in the SEC.
I think this game will do a lot of good for you this season, and it doesn't change my expectations of you one bit, and I really think it helps to lay an egg like this and pull the game out.
Now if you guys can just doe something about Phil, I think he is going to blow a gasket. Worried about the guy.

I don't think it was a wakeup call at all. I think they are just a soft, undisciplined football team who thinks they're entitled to win because they go to UT.

I think Tennessee fans are finally experiencing what SC fans go through every year: Having the whole world watch their team underwhelm in the first game of the season.
Everyone on the Rant always overreacts and calls any team that doesn't win by 40+ overrated. It sucks. Although, Tennessee fans were usually the first to throw shite on SC, so I guess it's poetic justice in a way.
Anyway, i agree. I think Tennessee will be better than they looked last night.

Good post. VOLS looked terrible and have a ton to work on. Some definite concerns going forward but I am fine unless Bristol is terrible as well. Very lucky to win that game and absolutely should have lost. Could be on the precipice of an implosion, but I am betting on this team looking a lot different next week.

As much as I love to hate them, I completely agree. They almost watched their season slip away in game 1 against a, lets be honest, bad team.
We will see what kind of coach Butch is, because they will respond in one of two ways. 1.) Roll over and die 2.) Use it for motivation to work harder
This team has too much talent to be fukkin around with teams like that.
