Bayou, great post man.

I agree totally. I read the other day where Jerry Rice criticized Kap for his protest. He was instantly called a "coon" and other derogatory terms on Twitter by Aftican Americans citing oppression etc.
Jerry grew up very poor in Mississippi a brick layers son. He worked hard, stayed out of trouble, didn't live a gangster rapper lifestyle and had achieved wealth and fame and notoriety. Is there racism, sure but it does come from blacks to whites too. There are so many opportunities in this country and things that have been given , all you have to do is work hard, make the right choices and stay out of trouble. Life is not a hand out, you have to work hard. The poor white child in a trailer park could just as easily cry oppression but doesn't. There is affirmative action, Negro college fund, and several other programs that target and only benefit African Americans, the poor white child isn't given these race specific opportunities. There are no white specific programs such as these. Far too many kids these days go to school and do drugs or glorify a thug or criminal lifestyle , and kids who try to do the right thing are labeled sellouts by their peers or people from their culture. They make fun of the ones that are trying to rise above and do the right thing, so the oppression comes from within with all races more often than not, it's not doing the right things or making poor choices, so often the oppression is self induced but as Kap shows us it's easier to blame someone else for our failures. There are no hand outs and success can be had such as so many people of all races and upbringings have shown us, like Jerry Rice, Dr Ben Carson and so many others, just work toward the future and own your own successes and failures.
