It appears the Baseball America poll was at the end of the regular season, as the Collegiate Baseball Poll has the 8 CWS participants ranked 1-8, which A&M was not a part of and was ranked 9 at the end of the year. So, it is true that Texas A&M has never been ranked in the top 4 of the final poll in any of the big three men's sports since 1940. Amazing.

Do you just make shite up as you go? A&M was ranked #1 at the end of the regular season. #2 at the end by BA. #9 was collegiate baseball, a much smaller and lesser known poll. Try again.
