A&M baseball finished #2 in final baseball polls in '89 despite not even making the CWS. Sorry your convenient time/number line doesnt hold up.

You do understand no one gives a shite about polls when there is a tournament to determine where each team finishes nationally.

I researched that after your post. And what you're referring to is an obscure poll called Baseball America that rated TAMU baseball as #2 after 1989.

However, the more accepted and well known Collegiate Baseball Poll rated TAMU as #9.

You got knocked out of your own regional (by LSU) and didn't even make it to Omaha.

You weren't even top-8, much less top-4. Rankings before the season was over don't count.
