Does anyone actually believe Hurts starts vs USC?

I think Hurts plays but I see Batemen getting the 1st three series to see what he can do.

Ideally I think Saban would like to use the plan from 2009.
Star Jackson was listed as the backup and would've come in for a play or two if needed but AJ was the guy if Gmac was going to be out for a long period of time.
I think Bateman is the guy and if he plays well Barnett will be the backup but Hurts would be the guy if we had to replace Bateman.

Saban knows more about football than probably EVERYONE, on the rant combined. I'm not thrilled about Cooper Bateman starting but I'm not the one being paid millions to win games. His formula for success obviously works but I'd be THRILLED if Jalen or Barnett were given the nod at some point. Guess we'll see.

Don't know and don't care who starts, one thing is for
sure all of the QB's are tired of looking across the line and seeing the D licking their chops and coming at them, same for the RB's.

I personally hope he starts. Having seen Bateman play I have no confidence in anything he does. Hurts might not be any better early, but at least I know he is developing and should be really good at some point.

Not people that are serious. I talked to one of our radio guys personally and Bateman is fine. Hurts has more tools but wont play much this year. He said saban wants perfection but Bateman is playing good ball And saban does sandbag. U will see hurts but not as THE qb barring injury so there. Believe what u will but Bateman is the guy and the kiffin factor plays to his strengths.

Back in the spring I would have said there is not a snowballs chance that Hurts starts. But now, I am not so sure. From what I have heard and read, you almost wonder how he doesn't start.

Fournette can't cross the line of scrimmage against defenses with a pulse. But he is awesome against Southwest Selma Community College.
