Big commitment from the Bears to him for doing this. IR is a llmited player pool, they can't put everybody on it. This signifies that they think he's the #2 QB, and they want to keep him in the organization. He's got a future ahead of him.

Great news about Connor! Wasn't sure what the Bears were gonna do with him. He deserves this because he clearly looked better than Hoyer when he was out there.

Honest question.
What else were they going to do with him?
Especially with the injury he just went through?
Could they have cut him? I've never seen a player in that situation happen.
