Apparently earlier this week Chaney told Lambert and Ramsey that Eason would be getting all the first team snaps at practice this week. This doesn't mean that he's won the job, more that the coaches know what to expect from Ramsey and Lambert because they have faced live action and had more first team reps. Still no reported clear frontrunner at this point, but maybe Eason can impress the coaches enough this week to take it.

IMO, the coaches are going to force Eason to make them NOT start him.

They want it, we want it, everyone outside the SEC wants it.

If true, that's a bad development for Ramsey especially.

I think Eason should get as many reps as he possibly can. I don't think this is a championship team this year. Get him as many reps as possible so that we're set up for major runs in 2017 and 2018.

For a couple of reasons I expect Eason to take control very early. Kirby knows that this year he is simply setting the foundation for the future. Lambert and Ramsey don't help in that regard. Trevor Lawrence is still undecided. I think he wants to play in Athens if he sees a future in the UGA passing game. Smart and Chaney need to play Eason early to sway Lawrence.
