re: Jalen Hurts....Starter?

Gun to my head gut feeling prediction:

Bateman starts against USC. Plays 3 series. Doesn't do anything noteworthy.
Hurts comes in on 4th series (possibly gets a snap or two on a gadget play prior to this).

Game two the roles are flipped. Hurts starts and plays until the lead is comfortable- Bateman gets two series- Barnett finishes it off.

Game 3 is Ole Miss. Show time. I think regardless of what happens in game 1, the guy that gets the most meaningful reps in game two is who the staff thinks gives us the best chance going forward. Unless Bateman lights USC up early in the game, then Hurts is going to get a crack at it- same goes if Hurts starts. The staff needs to see who can run the offense against live bullets in prime time.
