Peavey was in contention for the Hogs’ backup quarterback job, but redshirt freshman Ty Storey and freshman Cole Kelley are the main contenders. Transfer Ricky Town could also be ahead of Peavey at this point.
“I’m going to stay regardless,” Peavey said in April. “Been committed here since sophomore year of high school. I’ve never had any doubt. This is the place God wants me to be. I have faith in that.”
But things must have changed, or so it seems.
