re: Bama vs. MSU: Does the visiting team stay at home the night before the game?

There is a Ramada in Columbus that is ideal for visiting football teams to MSU. Its small enough that the team and official staff pretty much take over the hotel, and it has large enough ballrooms to conduct separate walkthroughs for offense/defense, etc.
