But, with some work, they have the footprint to land those sort of classes. They border a ton of states that produce solid talent and Kentucky itself produces a decent amount.

Kentucky, barring a miracle generation, won't home grow a national title. With some work, however, I think a patient coach can put the pieces together to build a great team.

I don't think Stoops is that guy though. If he doesn't make a bowl this year the Wildcats need a new head coach.

They can do it... but they need another Bryant.

Well yeah, but Maryland is also a Bear Bryant away from a National Championship

Geography isn't everything. Some of the top teams recently (Oregon, Michigan St.) have shite for local talent.

I honestly don't think he would do that well in a modern era. At least not from scratch (aka without the reputation of a guy who won a pile of titleS).
