So, I see Col. Aggie Lobotomy has worn out another government-provided Blackberry keyboard with his furious typing, while on government time, while in the comforts of a government office, to restate what the foremost expert on Houston sports television wrote:

There is parity right now between the SEC and Big 12 in Houston television ratings.

He also leaves this out for his drive-by aggy fanboys:

quote:

Also of interest is the breakdown based on individual schools that participated in the 83 games with at least a 2.0 rating. That indicates where the viewing loyalties of Houston viewers reside.

Here are the leaders, including both cable and over the air games: Alabama 10, Texas 9, LSU 8, Notre Dame 8, Baylor 7, Houston 7, Oklahoma 7, TCU 6, Oklahoma State 5, Ole Miss 5, Auburn 4, Michigan 4, Michigan State 4, Ohio State 4, Texas A&M 4, Texas Tech 4, USC 4. That gives us six Big 12 schools, five SEC schools, three from the Big Ten and one each from the American (UH), Pac-12 and independent Notre Dame.

So... aggy is hiding behind the skirt of the SEC to claim their sliver of parity. The BIG BAD SEC and all those aggy eyeballs translates to parity with a very down Longhorn team and what aggy considers the worst group of football schools ever assembled.

quote:

SEC Network won't release ratings until year 3 (2016 season). As a result, we don't know how those games performed in the Houston market.

We do know, however, that the ratings for Longhorn Network games on a "network that no one watches" outperformed aggy on ESPNU.

Poor aggy.

When I saw "President of Texas", I initially assumed we were talking about the governor of Texas haha. I wish they actually called the gov the pres in Texas, I kind of enjoy the novelty of their dillusion.

It's like when people yell "MURICA! HELL YEAH!!" on the 4th, it starts out as an ironic and extreme display of patriotism but in reality we don't know if they're joking or if the budweiser has soaked through to the bone.
