In football, played against
Shantua Ray - went to play at Bama as a SS. He was an RB in HS and was extremely fast. He had a 79 yard run against us and I, as the back side corner with a MASSIVE angle, caught him from behind and dove to slap his foot and have him fall at the one. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, "man! really? you know I'm scoring on the next play any way!". I said, "probably, but you didn't on that one". He scored on the next play from 1 yard out.
Adalius Thomas - didn't play in SEC but only b/c of grades. Played at USM and was in NFL for like 10 years (including a couple of Pro Bowl years and a Super Bowl Championship). He was HUGE in HS and he was literally a man among boys. He was unblockable.
In baseball, I played on a team with a guy who went on to play at Tennessee on scholarship and was on their 2001 College World Series team.
