You're the one calling craft beers "fruity". Craft beers are just beers made by a small brewery. They can be any style or flavor. There's absolutely nothing fruity about the vast majority of them. I actually LIKE beer, so I enjoy trying out different kinds. Plus, most of them have about 3X the ABV of a bud light. So, a couple can go a long way out by the grill.

I'm calling the fruity ones fruity, I'm calling the hoppy ones just bad-tasting. It's just that the fruity and hoppy beers seem to be talking over the market lately.

I've got friends that have been brewing their own beer for 25+ years. I know what craft brews are. I also don't feel the need to bust out a finely crafted beer after mowing the lawn - unless, of course, it's a St. Arnold.

Light American lagers have their place for me, as do porters, stouts and bocks (unless it's Shiner). Hell, malt liquor even has its place - don't let the smooth taste fool you, it works every time.
