My 1st Cousin and her Husband and 2 Elementary age kids are in Bulgaria on a Mission trip.

Is Bulgaria in bad shape to where they need US missionaries? They are also a Christian country so I am curious how they pick that for a mission trip. These are serious questions not meant to diminish their work.
