None of what you said makes it any less diverse. I don't think you understand what diverse means. I've never acted as though everyone in NY lives in peace and harmony with each other. 
I just re read your post and you clearly think diverse= not racist. Just FYI, diverse means "to show a great deal of variety; very different."
Clearly NY is diverse. And yes I understand racism is abundant.
