Interesting. I wonder how the Jews feel about that. Probably the same as if a thousand years from now someone took Christianity, said they're extending from it and having a new covenant from God, third testament to the bible and a new messiah. I bet Christians would be okay with that and get on board.

you're conveniently leaving out the fact that the jews knew a new covenant would come. it did come - the ones who believed are Christians and the ones that dont believe are still jews waiting for the messiah. dont forget the jews are still waiting. its not like it is completely out of the dark that a new covenant showed up.

you're general lack of knowledge Jusim and Christianity is doing you a disservice here

Now we're cooking with gas.

Now we're connecting dots.

You're 1,000% correct. The Jews are waiting on the messiah. I mean, without them, shoot, there'd never even be a messiah. Meaning, we are putting our faith in the Old Testament. We are placing part of the argument we use to tell ourselves why we believe Jesus is even a thing, let alone the messiah, let alone what a messiah even is, in the Old Testament's record of saying one's coming.

At that moment we are needing to believe the Old Testament In order to believe the New Testament.

The Old Testament is not just a group of dusty pages that don't apply, they're the foundation of the entire thing. Without the Old Testament, there is no Jesus. We have to believe in the things of the Old Testament. Without the Old Testament being able to be believed, how can we know we're getting accurate information from the book we're basing our theology on? This is kinda simple, I know, but today Christians have began separating themselves so much from (what are things they understand are barbaric like incest, sacrificial killings and stonings for things like premarital sex. You know, the things we don't like about Muslims) the Old Testament that they'd almost be willing to just let the Jews have the Old Testament and they'd be happy with the New Testament and Jesus.

But we can't do that can we, because there is no Godfather II unless there's a Godfather I.

We can't get to enjoy the things of the new covenant as displayed when Christ was killed for our sins, until we find out if we can believe the Old Testament. Which is where the story of the messiah came from.

I'll save you 10 paragraphs, or a link to the Noah's ark thread, or a link to this thread. We can't believe the information of the Old Testament.

The sooner we let Judeism have their Old Testament back, it's spiritual warfare, it's stonings (and everything else still going on that we rightfully condemn ISIS for doing) the sooner we can all acknowledge we're clearly in a designed universe and we're okay, the odds of us being here by accident are smaller than a fraction can be, and you don't need middle easterners from 2,500 years ago describing your God to you. He's describing himself in what can't be denied and only faintly comprehended, just fine.
