"Laughing at an earlier post that the defense atty "showed that the evidence was gathered illegally & would have to be thrown out of court". That's about as meaningful as Johnny Cochran proclaiming the glove was planted". Point being, defense attys can & do say anything they want to the press. Proving it in court is a whole different ballgame. As I read it, the cop walked up to the car ( not illegal), looked in (not illegal) & saw both the gun & the weed in plain sight. In those circumstances, that is more than enough legal cause to investigate further without need of a search warrant. But, yea, the defense atty says it was illegal, so that makes it illegal.
