"One of the defendants in the vehicle did make a statement to the law enforcement over there regarding how long that person had been in possession of that weapon and who they got that weapon from, " said Baldwin County Sheriff Huey Mack Jr. The sheriff says the defendant that made that statement was either Cam Robinson or Laurence Jones.
These two statements are not the same.
He can't remember who said it? Wierd.

You do know I'm not inferring that from the statement you posted, correct? In the article it says:
"The two "Bama" players were in a car with two other men and that stolen gun is now the "smoking gun" in this case. The gun was stolen in Baldwin county and the Sheriff says one of the two players knows who stole the gun."

Again, I'm taking it directly from the article that one of the two players knows who stole the gun. At least according to what the Baldwin County PD reported.
