Personally I said no "meaningful" punishment. And I consider this stuff the standard crap to make sure they don't miss any games.
You can view it how you feel best. The question at hand was simply the idea that they wouldn't be punished (for, mind you, a crime they weren't prosecuted for) and whether that reflects Saban's personal ethos. It really doesn't, at least not to anyone paying attention and/or disengaging their pre-existing need to consider him the font of evil. If the punishment is insufficient in your view, that's valid. But it's not nonexistent, and there was never a realistic chance that it would be.

Hootie probably tested positive for cocaine or admitted to using something other than cannabis.

Just like the cases of Geno Smith and Dillon Lee, who had DUI charges (DL with 1, GS with 2), neither will miss any games. Nick Saban won't hurt the team by giving out any punishment other than something at practice.

absolutely nothing in that article explains what other trouble he was supposedly in.
Crowell admitted this was not his first offence but like I said, no one on the Rant can admit they are wrong. Would rather just look like a fool instead of just admitting that

Yeah Alabama needed the help, who knows how high we could have finished last year if he had been able to play.

But your argument would be that people who said no punishment are wrong if Saban gave them a stern talking to. That is a punishment. Nobody thought they would get a ticker tape parade. Most people here were trying to say nothing significant would happen to two players who were riding around in the middle of the night with guns (one of them stolen), drugs and apparently some criminal they knew. They don't have to be prosecuted for jack shite for Saban to punish them.

"So you're saying that one guy does outpatient activities at an addiction center and the other guy is entered into a 21 day inpatient program because he is the "lesser talent"?
Just answer the question, genius...or do all those words make your head hurt?

You seriously need another schtick, dude. The condescending, bitter old man bit has been done to death.

Yeah, that part I don't think is based on who they are. I imagine Hootie either tested positive for something or it isn't his first time with drugs.

Most of you little boys on this site don't know what game is being played or the rules!
