Right because 2.5 sacks per game is so much more than 2.25 a game. What that comes out to three more sacks over a 12 game schedule?
same thing with TFL. 4.0 VS 3.8.
LSU does lead in passes defended returning 3.3 per game to 2.9 for bama. tide pass defense numbers could be a little lower though due to a couple of DBs that saw action last year transferring out.
My guess is that the bama "D" had a lot more chances for sacks and passes defended. Actually they had almost 100 more.
Considering one is the goat "D" and the other a bunch of weak arse defenders that couldn't stop anybody. At least according to this board.
You would think there would be a greater difference in the numbers. I forgot this isn't about the whole '15 defenses. It's about players returning for '16.
If you want to see a BIG gap in the returning numbers compare starts and total tackles.

So Bama returns more numbers than LSU from a defense that was light years better? Cool.
