On the wake of the OJ: Made in America series, what do you consider the biggest unsolved crime in US History?

Not a murder but the max headroom incident is still a mystery and a creepy one at that.

Texas killing fields.

Also, there have been like a 2000 women who have gone missing and ended up found dead around Juarez Mexico. Probably the work of cartels mostly, but could be some active serial killers snatching up migrants.

Who stole half the country's mind and common sense?

This is probably the biggest unsolved crime in my mind.

It isn't an American unsolved crime but this is one of the scariest one's ever.

The Villisca axe murders
quote:

The Villisca axe murders occurred between the evening of June 9, 1912, and early morning of June 10, 1912, in the town of Villisca in southwestern Iowa. The six members of the Moore family and two house guests were found bludgeoned in the Moore residence. All eight victims, including six children, had severe head wounds from an axe. A lengthy investigation yielded several suspects, one of whom was tried twice. The first trial ended in a hung jury and the second in an acquittal. The crime remains unsolved.
