It is well known that when a university simply reflects the attitudes of its football fans it is no longer a university in the true meaning of the word. Football has stalled the University of Alabama’s transformation into a modern university with intellectual, aesthetic or humanistic concerns.

Interesting, seems to pump out some very talented alumni who enter the world and do great things. Seems to rank pretty highly amongst it's peer state universities. Seems to attract a large number of kids and their parents from outside of the "backward white population" of the state.

Hopefully one day we can make this great transformation.

They actually don't. Most sororities (if not all of them by now) on campus have multiple African-American members (Hispanic and other minority groups, too), as well as member from around the country and world.
