It was 60,210 until 1987 with only a lower bowl. That was the time period I was talking about. The first deck brought it to 70K (1988) and the 2nd deck in 1998 (along with the first jumbotron) brought it to 84K.

When did Auburn and Alabama stop playing at Legion all together? Was it the '98 addition for Bama?

The south end zone was wood bleachers when I started going to Denny Stadium.
Siting in the south end zone I saw Joe Willie blow his knee out.
I also was at both games Bryant lost there.
UFand Southern Miss if I remember correctly.
Can't be many of us left.
