That was in 2011 where we led the SEC in total offense.....and I seem to remember that the next year wasn't so bad either.
Also, I think we all have alot more confidence in Pittman being able to select and coach these large men than our previous coaches could.
That being said, Friend was really coming into his own up until he left with Bobo. There is no way we could've put up the kind of offensive numbers we did in 2011 and 2012 without decent line play.

Exactly. The idea that the 2011 line was bad seems to be a myth that has grown over time.
They weren't great, but by Richt era o-line standards they probably were above average.
Remember that Malcolm Mitchell was our best receiver as a true Freshman and Crow was our best back as a true freshman with injuries/suspensions all the time.
Don't get me wrong, that 2011 line wasn't great, but they were in the top half of Richt o-lines.
