-- Garza arrived at Alabama late Sunday night along with his family. The Washington (D.C.) Maret School product stayed on campus through Tuesday. Of the trip, Garza told BamaOnLine that “It went great!!” via text message. BOL will have a more in-depth interview with the 6-foot-10 prospect later on when he gets home and is able to speak on it.
Garza’s father, Frank, followed up by telling BOL the visit was “stupendous.” Garza’s high school is a prestigious academic institution, something that was extremely important for he and his family when looking at schools. Garza’s father emphasized that they were touched by the Tide’s authenticity and their commitment to their belief that its students first, then athletics. Garza is expected to make a decision very soon, possibly within the next week or so. The East Coast product is rated the No. 15 center and the No. 127 overall player, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. Louisville is currently the 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite.

-- 2017 four-star power forward Rayshaun Hammonds out of Norcross (Ga.) tells BOL he has been in frequent contact with the Alabama staff in regards to setting up a visit. Rated the No. 12 power forward and No. 49 overall player, Hammonds’ Crystal Ball reads 50-50 between Alabama and Georgia.

Well it sounds like we still have a chance with Garza. Best part is hearing Hammonds is trying to visit. Thanks for the update Bryant!
