so the top two teams played in a bowl game every year?
i thought the whle point of the BCS was to get the top two teams in a bowl game. obviously that failed, with the LSU-Bama game standing out

As long as they weren't the Big 10 or Pac 10 champ since the Rose declined participation in both the Coalition and Alliance.
