title game isn't measuring conference toughness as a whole.
if SEC was as competitive as claimed, Saban wouldn't have woni t so much both at LSU and bama. auburn only won it a couple o years ago due to a fluke special teams play at the end.
Urban Meyer accounts for another 2 titles for the SEC. its really about those two coaches, not the SEC.

You are incorrect. It is the best against the best. It is a reflection of the age old adage iron sharpens iron.
If one considers Bama's talent advantage since 2008. It is amazing and a reflection of the strength and depth of the SEC that anyone finds a way to beat Bama and win the conference.
Some people consider Clemson a rising sub-conference team but facts tell us since 2008 Clemson can't do better than .500 against SEC competition if they play more than 1 SEC team. It's easy to do the math on that and assume Clemson would finish 4-4 in the SEC each year over the last 6 or so with their best overall season landing in the 7-9 win range.
