re: SEC Baseball tournament to stay in Hoover.

i've said it in this very thread and i'll say it again, the vast majority of fans in this thread saying it'd be stupid to move are from the birmingham area. of course you love having it there. there is no reason whatsoever that the tournament cannot, at minimum, rotate around the southeast and/or move to the new stadium in downtown birmingham. if all you're worried about is parking, might as well move the thing back to college campuses. there's parking for days

That River-side stadium in Columbus is the only good suggestion I've seen other than Hoover. There's parking and being by the river the stadium is by a more scenic spot than Hoover.

Everybody keeps suggesting downtown stadiums in major cities. Those stadiums might be newer and nicer and better looking and in "cooler" areas, but the logistics of having a week long baseball tournament in the downtown of a major city would be a nightmare. And more so for the fans than the organizers. I almost wish they would hold the tournament in Nashville or NoLa for a year just to watch the idiots start to long for Hoover again.


The stadium in Gwinnett might also work, but I've never seen it or the area so I can't personally say.
