Despite the focus of many posters on the Freeze era problems, those are not the ones that would result in massive punishment. Small amounts of money from boosters and kids on couches do not scare me like the Saunders troubles. That was big time trouble. If they decide not to let us get over with the passage of time they could really whack us good. The rest is less scary.

I've read the entire thing. I think the Ncaa had already began a second investigation even before the Tunsil text messages but I'm sure they will add that too.
What is most significant were things like Freeze sitting next to a booster in the home of a recruit. The grade fixing goes back a ways but everyone knew many of those star athletes would not qualify without rigging test scores.
Add to that the number of level 1 infractions, even level 2 and it's bad news. But the worse part in all of this is that the Ncaa felt lied to and that a new investigation is still ongoing. I don't know how you escape all that, homestly I don't. You have 3 current assistant coaches with infractions plus an assistant AD in text messages discussing payments and how they agreed on a set sum of money. I just don't think OM escapes all of this, edpecially with the mational attention and media claiming they were also misled.
