Georgia Catcher throwing to mound...

What, in the hell, is that thing he does throwing back to the mound from his knees.he almost falls over on every toss. Is it a yips thing like Romero?

It's just a hitch in his throwing motion. Fires to 2nd base just fine on steals. Hasn't over or under thrown a pitcher all year for what I can remember

I wasn't sure if I was imagining that or what... But it reminds me of the Rookie catcher from Major League II ( Movie) he had a mental block on throwing the ball back to the mound

Once it gets in your head it can be impossible to make go away. Having played 1st base a lot, I played with several guys who had the inability to make easy throws to 1st.

When I was playing Babe Ruth I started off as a catcher. For whatever reason I could not throw it back to the pitcher. Eventually moved to the outfield and it was fine. Obviously I never made it to that level but I sympathize with them. It's annoying as hell for the player too.
