I think Bret is a good coach but is having some difficulties recruiting in the SEC. Butch is a snake oil salesman. He's all flash with very little substance. That doesn't mean he can't have a good year, but that I doubt he'll be able to string several successful years together (10+ win years).

Keeping in mind that he inherited a dumpster fire program that had a roster on par with Kentucky and that he's 1. flipped the roster completely at the speed of light 2. had the first back to back bowl wins since the 90s 3. the team has averaged winning 2 more games than the season before every season since he's been here 4. managed to finish with a post-season ranking in forever as well as begin last season with a pre-season ranking which hadn't had in years 5. has taken us from a 5-7 team when he started to a projected top 10 team, what exactly is the snake oil he's sold?

I know the popular opinion around here is to trash CBJ and Bielema but both inherited dumpster fires and thus far have done damn fine jobs with them. It's not as though CBJ came directly after Fulmer when the program was still relatively stable but in need of a rebirth. He followed Kiffin and Dooley.
