Both AU and Alabama are pretty cheap comparatively to the rest of the country.
The biggest chunk of that COA is Residence Hall + Meal Plan, which comes to almost $12,230 a year. You only have to be on that for your freshman year, then you can live in a roach infested apartment and eat Krystal everyday. Like a real college student.
