I'm not saying it's a slam, but I highly doubt he's ineligible for consideration, which is basically what you're saying and I'm arguing against. He has 148 plate appearances in 52 games LSU has played. So just under 3.1, but I don't think the SEC uses the same criteria. He will more than likely eclipse that MLB threshold before postseason play begins, even though that 3.1 number is likely irrelevant. And that 3.1 number is for a batting title, not an "all-star" team.
