UF gets the only other 50 win team in the country in its regional

Guess they don't want the 3peat either.

It's softball. They probably weren't even paying attention

Yeah, I'm sure they're really concerned about a FAU team who ran a train through the conference USA. Couldn't have had anything to do with how close those two teams were located

Alabama State has some hitters...
Florida best not look past them.

I'm not too happy to see a team in Alabama's regional they've already played. It is what it is.

It is pretty obvious the goal was three-fold:

1. Have the best SEC teams eliminate each other on one side of the bracket and have the best of the rest of the non-SEC teams and the SEC teams fight it out in the top half of the other. No SEC final.

The top 2 SEC seeds must face each other, and one side of the bracket is loaded with most of the SEC teams. Further, Alabama/ATM have to get through each other and Oklahoma.

2. Have a very easy path for Michigan. Michigan doesn't face any formidable opponent except perhaps LSU until it potentially faces Alabama/ATM/Oklahoma, and it is guaranteed to only have to face one of those. The only SEC teams Michigan has to face before the WCWS are potentially Missouri and LSU. Missouri should be on Florida's side and Tennessee and Kentucky should be on Michigan's side.

3. Keep Florida from a 3-peat to preserve UCLA's place in history as the only school to 3-peat. The committee has 3 UCLA alumni. This cannot be any more obvious. Remember, Florida beat Michigan 8-0 earlier in the season. Their side of the bracket is loaded with teams they have already faced and are more familiar with Florida pitching. Florida has the top 2 pitchers in the nation. At #3 is their regional opponent in FAU. Florida then has to face an SEC foe in the super regional. They then have to face another SEC foe or Florida State- a rival and a team they've faced twice and you know how hard it is to beat a team 3 times. If they get past that, they have to face Auburn or Tennessee. Florida A&M should have been in the Gainesville Regional, but they are in the Tallahassee regional. It just isn't right. And, it looks a lot like last year. Florida is NOT the real #1 in this bracket. Michigan is.

I predict Auburn v. Michigan in the final. Hopefully, Oklahoma or Alabama will upset them, but I don't think it will happen.

If Florida somehow wins it all again, it will be because they earned it above and beyond.
