He's trying to portray himself a Christian man so people would forgive him. He's doing exactly what Ray Lewis has been doing ever since he "allegedly" murdered someone, just say "thank god, God bless, I'm a man of the lord" and everyone will forgive him.

It's people like him that usually get caught with kiddie porn or end up killing someone in a drunk driving accident.
