Not this again. LSU certainly deserved the slot in the NC game. No other team had more wins against ranked opponents that year and LSU was the SEC champion. Please feel free to make your case, but all the data favors LSU as deserving that slot, when the last week of the season finished up.

If it had been A&M with 2 loses to an unranked Kentucky and an unranked Arkansas playing for a national title, L5U fans would have rioted

Not if A&M had more wins against ranked teams than any other team and had the best resume out of all two loss teams and were SEC champs. Those two losses were ugly, no doubt, but no team other than Ohio State had a better resume.

If you don't think LSU deserved being in the NC, who was more deserving?

Still not quite as bad as killing someone for not taking a loss to AU hard enough...or death threats to a kicker for missing field goals...Wouldn't you agree?

Any other season probably but the 2007 season was a very unique season in that multiple teams in top 10 finished regular season with two losses. Go back and objectively look at end of regular season records and try to give a more deserving team than SEC champs (in this case LSU).
